Manuia le Kerisimasi!!

Merry Christmas family and friends!!!!

I love you all so much and hope this day is awesome! Just enjoy your family and friends and remember the true meaning of Christmas! Our Savior! He is the reason for our happiness and love and through Him and His Atonement this life becomes so joyful! I am so grateful that I get to share the message of the Savior the greatest gift everyday! YAY!

For Christmas I have been able to sing in Apias Pesega, play Mary in the manger, share the Lords gospel of course, have a Christmas party get together with all the missionaries on Upolu, and skype my FAMILY!! I love my family so much and was so happy to skype them it gave me more motivation to continue to work hard out here and put in more effort! They're my team cheering me on as you all are and I am so grateful!! Thank you!

Make sure to get on your knees tonight and thank the Lord for all your many blessings as you are filled with the Spirit of Christmas today!!!

I love them so much!! Setu the father! has changed the most since he stopped smoking and drinking! Such a hard working man for example, it has been raining a lot here for the past few days but every day he is out there is the rain working, making his chips and going  to sell them etc!

oh also...I am a trainer! just happened last night when the new intake arrived and I became a "mother"! haha my daughters name is Sister Feagiai! she is from Australia and she is full Samoan and can speak the language, but has only been to Samoa once for a week so she's new to the whole real Samoan life! so yeah! I am a try my best!

Kerisimasi taimi!!

Malo!!

this week has beeenn BUSY like always haha!! Its fun always having a ton of things to do!! haha just take it one step at a time yo!! Yesterday my soa and I had the craziest roller coaster day ever trying to figure out our friends, Vaileta and Setu's Faapaiaga (marriage) before they get baptized. Yes they have a ten year old daughter and aren't married haha! Same with our friend Toaiva she has two children and isn't married oh and same thing with our friend Otaota! haha I realized a lot of Samoans just don't bother getting married until missionaries come by and have to figure out their faapaiaga for them! haha jk idk but yeah I won't explain all that happened yesterday because that would be a lot haha it was crazy fun and we were able to laugh all the while so its all good! We know Heavenly Father was there with us and everything will work out!! haha Sekiiiii We are just sooo excited for our friends especially this little family of 3 and we will do anything and everything to help them come unto Christ!

Our friend Leatuafi got baptized on Sunday! yay! he is such a funny guy with the biggest smile he uses all the time...but then didn't use in his baptism picture together. haha I've also realized that a lot of Samoans don't like to smile in pictures! anyways the ward was really excited for him and are showing him the love yeah!!

We have Pesepesegas live on facebook every Sunday in December tune into it to watch! yeah it is such a great thing to bring our friends too!

I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to serve a mission! to serve the Lord and the people in Samoa! My relationship with my Heavenly Father, Savior, and the Holy Ghost are strengthened everyday! and I am so so grateful and feel His blessings and love all around me!! I know He loves all of you soooo much! Just come unto Him, reach up and take His hand!!

Malo!!

hello!! Its a blessing I get to email today...almost didn't happen! haha

I have been great!!!!! YYAYAYA! ahaha Richard (16), Toesami (9), and Jean (10), plus a primary charles brother Frankie (8) all recently entered the waters of baptism!! So happy and feel so blessed to be apart of this work!!

Toesami and Jean's family are member, but they missed their baptism at 8 haha never thought I would run into these kinds of situations, but I'm realizing that it's the normal to find all these situations haha! And it has made the families stronger in the church! So there is a reason for everything! Also, another example of this is we found the mothers who come to church but aren't baptized...haha they live super far away next to the trash of Samoa haha but that is no excuse haha my Soa and I make our way down there and we already got a baptismal date for one of them! Yay! haha We have been called to help organize and get everyone going here as well! onosai mai! haha its great!

I am a master Koko Samoa maker!! haha and grass sweeper etc. haha I love all the service you can do here!! I'm really getting the hang of the Samoan lifestyle!!

Inspiration for the week!! Believe in what you're doing. Believe in who you are. Believe in what you are becoming. Because you are a son or daughter of God and He believes in you!! (its a song look it up and listen)

Ou te le fiafia maile i Samoa!!!

Malo!!!

How is everyone?! I am doing good! this week Potea and Easter got married and it was the cutest and simplest thing ever! And then Potea got baptized! Yay!! All the missionaries that knew him were so excited for him! And Richard is all set for his baptism this weekend!

Vaileta and Meia are doing great and I have Loved seeing how Vailetas prayers have changed since the first time we meet her. They are so sincere and very heart felt now! I absolutely love seeing peoples faith grow! However, the father Setu has a word of wisdom problem and is busy all of the time! We are trying our best to help him develop faith in Christ. We have some get lessons plans coming up for him!!

Oh also, you know you are in Samoa when a 12 year boy drives you home after your friendly feed! haha and when dogs try to eat you all day all the time!! haha Ou te le fiafia maile! I do not like dogs anymore sorry everyone! But, I have had one too many try to eat me haha!! There was this one day in particular where we ran into so many "nice" dogs compared to the usual...that was a fun day......

I am so grateful for the Lords work that I get to be apart of! We have had quite a few new potential friends literally placed right in our path! I know the Lord cares so much for each and every one of His children individually!! It's amazing!

Okay, I love you all! And sorry Loki and Scarlett I am pretty sure I will at least still like you guys...I am just not sure at the moment haha jk I'll always love my doggies!

This is the Lords work!!

Malo lava!!

So many great things to say so little time haha!!! These 2 weeks have been great!
Charles was baptized and the family getting stronger and so blessed because of it!! I was so happy for him and his family the Spirit was so strong! it is an amazing the thing to enter the gate towards our Heavenly Father through baptism!!
My soa Sister Fe'a and I were used to help with another emergency transfer last wednesday. Sister Fe'a is now in Savaii and I am still in Malie with a new companion Sister Tuua! She is amazing and I already love her so much! We are working up some great things here in Malie!! oh and I also am the senior companion! haha its been fun!!! My Samoan is definitely improving!!
Our wonderful friend Richard also accepted the invitation to be baptized Nov. 17!! Yeah! and we have a family of three that we are teaching and the love the gospel so much and want to be baptized as well! The father is more busy so we are just waiting to catch him up! The make banana chips everyday for a living! and we help Vaileta pack them almost everyday after our lesson! haha I love this family so much!! there daughter Meia is 10! Potea's baptism and marriage is this Saturday! Yay! everyone is so excited for him! and in a year they will go to the temple!
Also... two days in a row we found and killed two samoan centipedes poisonous things!! ahhh for the first one the Holy Ghost woke me up at 3 in the morning with the feeling that I had to barf but I didnt I just needed to find that centipede in the shower and kill it!! haha
I know this is the Lord's work and He is definitely my strength!! As I rely on the Savior everyday he makes weak things become strong! I know this is so true and I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost that can make up for what I lack and be the real teacher!!

I found one of my all time fav quotes!!!
"If you are on the right path it will always be uphill." -Henry B Eyring
I love this sooo much!! we should be continually progressing and striving everyday to be more like our Savior! Our whole life should be uphill if we want to be on the right path!!

I love youalllll!!!!

Lelei tele le galuega!

Malo lava!

This week was crazy! Super long, but then also went by super fast! haha It was great!

The Puega's are getting sealed in the Temple the end of this month!! They are doing good and so strong! The husband testimony and love for the scriptures and pray has grown so much. They are my favorite! I am beyond excited for them and hopefully we will get permission to attend and then I'll cry of joy!

My soa and I are working hard meeting new people everyday, trying our best to work through all the challenges, and being bold and brave. We also found two more families in the same situation as the Puega's except for these dad's don't want to stop smoking and drinking. We have been able to talk to the wife's and they are so sensitive and in need of so much love and comfort. They both want to be sealed to their families so badly. We have set up days to talk with the husbands and try our best to help them feel the Spirit and God's love for them! Fingers crossed that it can go as well as the Puega's haha staying hopeful!!

We keep close contact with all the bishop in our four wards haha and have introduced the idea of a fireside where the members can invite friends to come! So we got that in the works. super excited!

Also, as with some of our friends right now we are running into a lot of barriers like the parents of these 3 children ages 20, 12, 10 who absolutely love the Book of Mormon and pray everyday and are such great listeners with the sweetest testimonies, but there parents are strong in their other church and yeah haha! And some others friends who knows what we are teaching them is true, but are busy in their other church, etc. haha it's fun! We are staying positive though and just loving them all as much as we can! Praying for those miracles! And even through the challenges I can still clearly see the Lord's hand in everything! He knows all and sees the whole picture!! Trust in Him taimi uma!

Also, this sweet, amazing girl Orianne! who has so much faith and strength for 13 year old girl! don't have time to share the story, but she shared the scripture Doctrine and Covenants 88:124 with us! and I just want to share it with us guys! It is so powerful and something we should all try to live by!

Love you all,
     Sister Hymas

Yoyoyo!

Malo soifua!!

What a great week! Working hard! Trying our best to progress and follow the Spirit! Yeah!!

We had our first ever Sisters Conference on Sunday-Monday in the Visitors Center (Pesega) all the sisters were there except for the ones in American Samoa and the 4 that missed their boat :( There was 20 of us there! and it was so amazing and very spiritually uplifting and it was great to be amougst all the sisters and President and Sister Ho Ching! They are the best! And Monday morning Sister Ho Ching instructed us through some yoga! Haha much needed and great conference! Oh and I got to see my 1st soa Sister Leakehe!! I love her so much we talked all the way home about everything we are so similar in a lot of ways haha its great to know we are in this together!! haha

Then we went back to our area, but only for a few hours and then the Aps picked us back up to take my soa and I back to Pesega becasue the President gave us permission to go to my soas brothers endowment session! So we got to go to the TEMPLE Tuesday morning! I lovelovelove temples everything is so perfect and wonderful inside so much joy!! fav place on Earth! Very grateful I got the opportunity to go! (And two nights in a row with warm showers, A/C, less bugs, actually in a more normal house like thing) haha

One of our friends Melanie (24ish years old haha) she is so sweet and her testimony is growing so much!! She told us when she goes home to her parents on the weekends (she lives with some members during the week) she has to hide to read the Book of Mormon! That's so sad and shows her love haha we told her to talk with her parents fingers crossed! (we seem to run into a lot of barriers with parents...ugh haha like Porirua: he accepted the invitation to be baptized...but his parents were not so excited haha) We just must stay happy, hopeful, and pray!

I love you all!!
